winter 2025
Working with hundreds of pages of offline notes can become vertiginous.
Anyway, the past month’s discussions relative to Heidegger are a departure from giving any more attention to his presence for awhile. But up the road, there will be intensive work relative to lots to do and share online meanwhile.
Feb. 7 | “Cartesian vs. hermeneutical sensibility” addresses interest in why scholars continue to invalidly associate Heidegger with sympathy for nazism, but I don’t get into detail about surviving those times. “Becoming post-Heideggerian” overviews what I’m generally doing with Heidegger’s thinking.
I want to leave Heideggerian interests behind, much as I’m thankful for the influence. Though I would enjoy sharing a close reading of any of “his” texts-in-English, I have more than enough attraction to other engagements.
Feb. 1 | I expect to post more before Feb. 15, but I’m open to getting “lost” again in conceptual prospecting.
Jan. 27 | “there being ‘Dasein’” is part of interest in relativizing my Project to old father Martin; and now has a follow up posting, “for intimacy of time being,” linked at the bottom of “there being...”.
Jan. 24 | “Open interality in released Flow of immersion” recalls 2024 pages on interality in a narrative of their links free associating with the conception, which will sprout more topics.
Jan. 22 | “Heidegger and ‘technology’” offers reflections relative to the publisher’s description for an upcoming book on Heidegger and scientific industries.
Jan. 20 | “On a way to original thinking” is a Heideggerian preface which shares my sense of his pragmatic originality.
Jan. 10 | I expect to post more frequently, at last, even more than once per week. | March 14: That will happen soon.
Anyway, “my road to better understanding” (Jan. 7) is actually decades long, now 3000+ "pages" (re: normal book page size). The “all conceptual venturing” link on the home page (top right) goes to an open-ended oriental posting I did for my own convenience awhile back (and updated), which may be useful to others. But that posting doesn’t directly link to the “front porch” of it all: the gedavis.com “sense of this site” (on the home page, top right).
Jan. 7 | Sharing a moment of my road to better understanding, better being: “humble attitudes of highland altitude.”
December 21 | In case you wander: “writing home”
Dec. 18 | “smart living: given to enactive fulfillment” goes forward from the last section of “...belonging...to belong.”
